Family Fresh Market and our parent company, SpartanNash, are committed to giving back to our local communities. Together with our store guests and the SpartanNash Foundation – our company’s charitable giving arm – we support local organizations that provide hunger relief, secure shelter and support our military heroes through a series of retail fundraising scan campaigns.
Starting Feb. 12, the SpartanNash Foundation and Family Fresh Market invite you to join us as we help families build a strong foundation and a path toward homeownership.
A home provides strength and stability for families – and during the SpartanNash Foundation’s scan campaign, we can work together to build hope and affordable housing. Between Feb. 12 and 23, store guests who visit any Family Fresh Market will have the opportunity to donate $1, $5 or $10 or round up to the nearest dollar at any checkout lane – and 100 percent of all funds raised will directly support their local Habitat for Humanity.
Since 2006, SpartanNash and the SpartanNash Foundation – together with store guests like you – have raised and granted nearly $1.9 million to support local Habitats and hardworking homebuyers.
Habitat for Humanity’s vision is to build a world where everyone has a decent place to live. The organization is dedicated to eliminating substandard housing locally and worldwide through constructing, rehabilitating and preserving homes; by advocating for fair and just housing policies; and by providing training and access to resources to help families improve their shelter conditions.
Habitat homebuyers invest 300-500 hours of sweat equity into homebuilding and mentorship classes, where they learn the responsibilities and criteria to maintain the Habitat home they purchase on a zero-percent interest rate.
