Ingredients

  • 4 large Granny Smith apples, cored, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup golden raisins
  • 2 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
  • 1/8 tsp. ground cloves
  • 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup dried oats
  • 1 tbsp. dark corn syrup
  • 1 tbsp. canola oil
  • 2 tsp. butter, softened

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Place apples in an 8x8x2-inch baking dish. Sprinkle with raisins, cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves. Lightly toss to combine. Pour 1/2 cup water on top. Set aside.
  2. In a medium bowl combine brown sugar, flour and oats. Add corn syrup, oil and butter. Using a pastry blender or 2 forks, blend until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Sprinkle crumbs evenly on apples.
  3. Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until top is golden brown and apples are tender.
