Ingredients

  • 3 lb. boneless, skinless chicken breast halves, cut lengthwise into 1-inch strips
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 tbsp. Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp. paprika
  • 1/4 tsp. steak seasoning
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1 1/2 cups fine dry breadcrumbs
  • 3/4 cup vegetable oil

  1. In a 13x9x2-inch baking pan combine flour, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, paprika and steak seasoning. Place eggs in a shallow bowl; set aside. Place bread crumbs in another shallow bowl; set aside.
  2. In a large skillet heat oil over medium-high heat to 375°F. Working in batches, add chicken to skillet, cook 5 to 7 minutes or until no longer pink (165°F), turning once. Drain on paper towels. Serve warm.
  3. Season chicken with salt and pepper to taste. Dip chicken in flour mixture to coat, shaking off any excess, then in egg. Roll chicken in bread crumbs; toss until evenly coated.
