- In a medium bowl combine blackberries, blueberries, strawberries, sugar and orange peel; stir to coat. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
- In a small bowl stir together sour cream and maple syrup; set aside. In a mixing bowl and using an electric mixer, beat cream until just beginning to thicken. Add powdered sugar; beat until stiff peaks form; fold in sour cream mixture.
- In each of 4 dessert cups layer 1/3 cup of the berry mixture, 1/3 cup maple cream, and (if desired) 1 tablespoon of the nuts. Top with 1/3 cup berry mixture, 1 tablespoon nuts (if desired), and 2 tablespoons maple cream. Serve immediately.
