Ingredients

  • 1 (6-oz.) container fresh blackberries (about 1 1/2 cups)
  • 1 1/3 cups fresh blueberries
  • 1 1/3 cups sliced fresh strawberries
  • 2 tbsp. granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. grated orange peel
  • Maple Cream:
  • 1/2 cup fat-free sour cream
  • 2 tbsp. maple syrup or honey
  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • 2 tbsp. powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pistachios (optional)

  1. In a medium bowl combine blackberries, blueberries, strawberries, sugar and orange peel; stir to coat. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
  2. In a small bowl stir together sour cream and maple syrup; set aside. In a mixing bowl and using an electric mixer, beat cream until just beginning to thicken. Add powdered sugar; beat until stiff peaks form; fold in sour cream mixture.
  3. In each of 4 dessert cups layer 1/3 cup of the berry mixture, 1/3 cup maple cream, and (if desired) 1 tablespoon of the nuts. Top with 1/3 cup berry mixture, 1 tablespoon nuts (if desired), and 2 tablespoons maple cream. Serve immediately.
