Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. mixed salad greens
  • 1 cup matchstick carrots
  • 1 cup cherry tomato halves or grape tomatoes
  • 1 avocado, pitted, peeled, cut into cubes
  • 1/3 cup salted toasted sunflower seeds
  • 1/2 pkg. apple slices (optional)
  • Grilled sliced steak or chicken, or grilled shirmp (optional)
  • 1 cup vinaigrette, poppy seed or chunky blue cheese dressing

  1. In a large bowl combine salad greens, carrots, tomatoes, avocado, sunflower seeds and apple slices; toss to combine. If desired, add steak, chicken or shrimp. Drizzle with dressing; toss. Serve immediately.
