Ingredients

  • 8 thick slices bakery bread
  • 1/4 cup whipped cream cheese with chives
  • 1/2 lb. deli turkey breast
  • 1 avocado, peeled, pitted, thinly sliced, lightly salted
  • 1 large tomato, thinly sliced
  • 4 slices lowfat Swiss or Colby-Jack

  1. Preheat broiler to high. Place bread slices on a baking sheet. Lightly toast under broiler.
  2. Spread cream cheese evenly on 4 toasted bread slices. Arrange turkey, avocado and tomato on top of cream cheese. Top with cheese. Return baking sheet to oven. Broil about 6 inches from heat until cheese melts and turns golden. Remove from oven.
  3. Top with reserved bread slices, and serve immediately.
